The conference (American Neurological Association annual meeting) was somewhat less thrilling and more tiring than I had expected. Nevertheless, I had a good time in Washington, D.C. and would be keen to visit again.

An entire week devoted to the rich history of Mayo Clinic. There are plenty of events scheduled to help celebrate Mayo Heritage Days, although my undoubted favorite is the ice-cream social: handing out free ice-cream to employees, a fabulous idea!

Not much to report this week. Perhaps next week (trip to Washington, D.C.) will be more newsworthy.

Despite an unusually warm week, we are aware that winter is on its way, so we made sure we spent some time outdoors, including leisurely walks around the neighborhood. Oscar gets some good exercise walking (running, skipping, jumping) all the way, and Adeline seems to enjoy it too, although she's forever trying to take her hat off.
